Economic appraisal tool
The economic appraisal tool is designed to model residential and mixed-use developments which seek Social Housing Grant (SHG) alongside Town and Country Planning Act 1990 s106 contributions. The model is now available to all those involved in the process of developing affordable housing. It will assist Housing Corporation field officers, developers, Registered Social Landlords and planning authorities in the negotiation of s106 agreements and of the SHG levels needed to achieve viable and sustainable developments. The tool consists of a spreadsheet model and a separate user manual.
