Rethinking housing refurbishment [electronic resource]
This BRE led demonstration project aims to illustrate the contribution of refurbishment in reducing carbon emissions and to raise standards of refurbishment practice. The project involves the transformation of a disused Victorian stable block into three energy efficient homes, with an education centre showcasing the latest refurbishment technologies and techniques. BRE is also working with the Housing Market Renewal Pathfinders, The Prince's Foundation and the East Thames Group on nine further refurbishment projects.
