Discusses the recommendations of the ABI`s Working Party on the Landlord and Tenant (Covenants) Act 1995 concerning restrictions on assignment of leases. These include the withholding of consent of assignment to associated companies, the need for prove by assignee of his/her sufficient financial standing, diminution in value of landlord`s interest and where the assignee is a non-UK resident.
