RICS have launched a consultation on proposed changes to the RICS regulatory schemes for registration of valuers and regulated firms. The aim is to implement the valuation review recommendations and strengthen the assurance regime for the valuation to future-proof practices in the public interest. The proposals in this consultation include the introduction of a Valuation Compliance Officer role within valuation firms and the creation of a register of regulated valuation firms.
