In Beaton and another v Nationwide Anglia Building Society 7 Aug 1990, it was held that a notice given under Building Societies Act 1962 s30 did not exclude the liability of the building society. The duty of care principle established in Smith v Bush (1989 2 WLR 790) is unaffected by section 30.
