In "R v Lewisham LBC ex parte Dolan", ChD 17 August 1992, it was held that in assessing the suitability of accommodation for the needs of a homeless person, a local authority could separate medical needs from social needs, for initial consideration by those qualified in each area, provided that the ultimate decision was the result of a composite assessment of all relevant factors.
