In "Barton and another v Care and others", CA 3 July 1992, it was held that The statement referred to in Mobile Homes Act 1983 s2(2) included a written statement which had not been given within three months after the making of an agreement between the owner of a protected site and the occupier of a mobile home thereon to which the act applied, whether given pursuant to an order of the court under s1(5) or otherwise.
