In "Hughes and another v Greenwich LBC", CA 20 May 1992, it was held that where a headmaster willingly occupied the headteacher`s house provided for him by the local authority on the campus of the boarding school where he was employed it was unnecessary for there to be any term in his contract of employment requiring him to do so, and accordingly no such term should be implied.
