QBD 12 July 1993. M was owner and occupier of land on which an advertising hoarding was erected and used without his permission. W charged M with contravening regulations under Town and Country Planning Act 1990 s220. This was dismissed on the grounds the hoarding was erected without M`s knowledge or permission and he had taken all proper steps to remove the advertisements once his attention was drawn to them. W appealed. Appeal dismissed on the grounds of lack of consent to the hoarding by M.
