The shell and core option has become very popular in the central London office market over the last few years, where there has been very strong demand for space combined with limited supply, resulting in many pre-lettings. This article briefly discusses the problems of operating in the UK caused mainly by lack of experience in this field and compares the British concept of shell and core with that of the USA where it originated.
