Over recent years there have been dramatic changes in office buildings with the development of computer systems integrated with complex information communication networks, building automation and environmental systems. Therefore, it is even more important that these increasingly sophisticated buildings are kept working. In this paper, the author outlines how this can be successfully achieved with reference to one particular approach, total facilities management (TFM).
