In Advance Ground Rents Ltd v Middlesbrough Borough Council ,LT 29 September 1986 it was held that where a compulsory purchase order has been confirmed, and a necessary notice to treat has not been served within the appropriate time limit ,the LT has no jurisdiction to determine the amount of compensation payable for the acquisition of the land in question.
