Changes in market conditions can have serious implications for the valuation of speculative developments. Argues that the best way to avoid a claim of negligence is to state clearly the consequences of any such changes. This to a large extent has been tackled in VGN12 and is also being considered by the RICS Asset Valuation Standards Committee.
