CA 3 April 1996. The defendant, Mrs Chandock claimed that she had acted at all time under the undue influence of her husband. the £60,000 debt that had therefore accrued as a result of mortgage payment arrears under a mortgage in her name could not be claimed by the building society. Held, that the building society had taken all reasonable measures to advise Mrs Chandock. A possession order was granted.
