CA 16 February 1996. The appellant had purchased a house jointly with her partner, when the relationship broke up she remained in the house and her partner brought proceeding for an order for its immediate sale with vacant possession. The appellant obtained legal aid to defend the claim and a compromise was reached, effectively postponing the sale. The Legal Aid Board claimed a charge on the appellant`s beneficial interest in the property. Appeal dismissed.
