CA 1 May 1995. A tenant who remains in occupation without paying rent is treated (for the purposes of the Limitation Act 1980 only), as if in adverse possession as a trespasser, notwithstanding the continued existence of his right to tender payment of rent and to remain in possession as a tenant, and the reversioner`s right to demand payment of rent at any time.
