Describes how the American fast track method of tilt-up construction is being used to construct factories at Glenrothes , Scotland in only four weeks. Tilt-up is a construction method of some 28 years standing whereby reinforced concrete wall panels are cast horizontally on-site,and tilted into position. The system results in considerable savings in time and cost and provides buildings offering durability,security,impact resistance and minimal maintenance.
