"SB Property Co Ltd v Chelsea Football & Athletic Co Ltd" CA 2 April 1992. At the end of a sale and leaseback agreement, C gave notice to exercise its right to purchase the freehold despite SB`s grant of the premises to a third party for development shortly beforehand, and after the subsequent delay in arriving at an agreement, C sued without success for damages to cover the loss of value incurred during intervening period.
