Insituform involves remote relining of sewers; RATS (Remote Axial Tank Saw) operated by closed-circuit television allows interconnections to be cut more cheaply between the relined sewer and its feeder or extract pipes from within the sewer. Finally impact moling involving the destruction of existing pipes from within by the hammer action of a "mole", which pulls a new plastic liner through an original liner.
