Warns that landlords must be aware of housing legislation when letting commercial space in mixed-use property. The Housing Act 1996 imposes a criminal sanction on a landlord who does not serve the correct notices under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 and Part I of the Act provides that where the premises as a whole falls within the Act, a disposal of part of those premises is a relevant disposal.
