In Home Brewery PLC V William Davis and Co (Loughborough) Ltd , (1987)1AllER 637, water from the plaintiff`s land drained naturally to neighbouring lower land owned by the defendants. The dispute arose when the defendant filled in the land which prevented the free flow of water from the higher land and caused flooding.
