Following publication of Ryde`s Scale, representatives of the Water Services Association and Water Companies Association, who advise water companies, have expressed concern over interpretation and implications of the scale in connection with the assessment of fees for work undertaken on compensation matters arising from entry onto private land for laying water mains and sewers under the provisions of the Water Industry Act 1991. Correction issued to the wording in paragraph 4.
