Upper Drum Fishings Ltd v Kincardine and Deeside DC and Chap Quarries (Aberdeen) Ltd , Court of Session 22 May 1986, concerned a planning application to extract and process sand and gravel on land beside the River Dee in an area of great landscape value. The petitioners, who held fishing rights in the Dee adjacent to the site of the application, opposed the proposals and sought judicial review.
