The natural right to have one`s land supported by neighbouring property means that any subsidence damage caused by removal of support may be claimed for and buildings may be protected by easement, but the decision in "Midland Bank plc v Bardgrove Property Service Ltd" (1992), challenges this right in the case of excavation for commercial development.
