Growth in the number of retirement homes and sheltered housing complexes, has led management companies to form an Association of Retirement Housing Managers to promote quality and high standards. The National House-building Council has devised a code of practice for sheltered housing. The New Homes Marketing Board provides a list of housebuilders offering retirement homes and sheltered housing.
