Refers to a new scheme pioneered by Notting Hill Housing Trust aimed at increasing the amount of rented accommodation in the private rented sector by allowing housing associations to act as managing agents for owners who do not wish to take on the responsibility of landlord. London and Quadrant Housing Association has launched a similar scheme in Haringey. Gives preliminary results of the "OPCS 1990 Private Renters Survey" showing a revival in private sector rented accommodation.
