"Pinnegar v SOS Environment and another" CA 17/10/94. The owner undertook long term restoration work to a Grade 1 listed house and erected a timber- framed building next to a workshop. Planning authority issued enforcement notice requiring demolition of building. Owner appealed, applying for retention of building for storage. Application dismissed but enforcement notice varied to extend the compliance period from 3 to 6 months to find a solution to the storage problem. Owner appealed to High Court because extra time had not resulted in a solution. Appeal dismissed.
