Trafford seeks UDC compact - 1986 - New Civil Engineer (719) 11 December 1986,17 (1) .
Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council are seeking permission to act as agents for the Urban Development Corporation set up to develop the 800 hectare Trafford Park Industrial Estate , Manchester over the next seven years. If approved by the full council and ratified by the Department of the Environment the local authority will pursue compulsory purchase orders for the UDC,make planning recommendations and process applications starting on 1 April 1987.
