The Law Society has suggested that the loss of the almost exclusive right of solicitors to brief barristers ,as outlined in Bar proposals that accountants and surveyors might be allowed to instruct barristers directly for certain types of work,could have far reaching consequences for the future of the Bar and might be against the public interest.
