Baker v MacIver CA 20 March 1990. On having to leave his rented accommodation the defendant gave his tenant notice to quit but the tenant appealed against the claim for possession , claiming he faced greater hardship on giving up possession than the defendant, who had had a protected tenancy and had therefore been offered compensation and alternative accommodation.
