ORB 20 Feburary 1996. Clarksteel argued that the gaps they were required to weld on steel and iron pipes were excessive and they were thus entitled to damages. Dispute centred around a part of the contract referring to British Standards and stating where extra-over rates would apply when pipe joints exceeeded certain BS requirements.
