The Agricultural Holdings (Amendment) Act 1990 gained Royal Assent on 29 June. It gives more security for tenant farmers , stopping landlords from being able to dispossess for non-agricultural uses without first obtaining planning permission. This reverses the Bell v McCubbin CA 13 July 1989 decision. (Abst 41564).
