Applies the principles decided in a recent case to the perennial problem of the valuation of an agricultural tenancy . The decision in Murray v Lloyd , ChD 22 June 1989, concerned the correct measure of damages to be awarded when a right to become a statutory tenant was lost due to negligent solicitors` advice. The court awarded damages of 25% of the freehold value of the house with vacant possession.
