In Stover and Another v Harington and Others ChD, the housebuyers sued the vendors for misrepresentation and negligent mis-statement and sued the surveyors for professional negligence . The dispute arose after it was discovered that the property had no mains drainage , when in fact the housebuyers had been led to believe the contrary.
