Appeal against decision of SoS - 1989 - EGCS 1989 45 .

In Barratt (Guildford) Ltd v SoS Environment and another , QBD 17 March 1989, the appeal was dismissed on the grounds that there was no departure from accepted principles, the decision was not perverse and there had been no breach of the rules of natural justice. The site was significant because of the listed building and the registered garden. The SoS had fully considered all the relevant matters in accordance with the principles of planning law and the relevant guidelines.
