It is reported that the value of the Church Commissioners` property assets has fallen by more than £500m since 1990. The Archibishop of Canterbury, George Carey, has appointed Bishop of Chelmsford to head a group of financial experts to undertake an independent review of the Church Commissioners` financial position.
