Guide-lines for the administration and use of Part II of the Register of Applications for Planning Permission - 1987 - Law Society`s Gazette 84 (1) 7 January 1987, 10-12 (3) .

The register of applications for planning permission is in two parts; Part I is a register of all planning applications not finally determined. Part II, which is a register of all planning decisions , is the subject of this article. The guidelines concentrate on the statutory requirements which local planning authorities should meet, and advise on the administration of the register. Particular attention is paid to the information which should be contained within Part II, the index for the register, index systems based on plotting sheets and property addresses, summaries of proposed developments for index systems, access to the register and its management and the application of new technology for storing information.
