McCauley v Bristol CC CA 25 June 1991. The local authority appealed against a cc decision that it was in breach of its duty under Defective Premises Act 1972 to repair a garden step , which caused the tenant injury. The appeal that the council had no right of entry under the tenancy agreement to allow repair of the step was dismissed.
