HL 24 November 1994. Employees and the companies employing them were separate entities but the companies were only able to carry on thier business by the employees acting on their behalf. The actions of those employees, in the course of their employment, constituted the companies business and, if acting contrary to a court order, could render the companies in comtempt of court.
