Discusses the case of Whalley and another v Robert and Robert (Abs 42233) which involved a floor slope which had been camouflaged by the builders. This was not spotted by a surveyor in a structural survey report and he was held to be negligent as the slope of the floor affected the value of the property ie a material loss had occurred.
