To determine whether firstly under s261 of the Highways Act 1980 the enhanced (better) value of the claimant`s adjoining landd should be taken into consideration in assessing compensation and secondly if question 1 was answered in the affirmative, should compensation be nil or the existing agricultural use value of £17,000. Compensation assessed at nil. S261(1)a of the 1980 Act applied.
