The new thermal efficiency Building Regulations are now in force. This four part series looks at various aspects of energy in building design . Part 1 examines the new regulations and the attitude of housebuilders towards them; Part 2 reports on Milton Keynes DC`s energy efficient housing developments and Part 3 highlights the weakness in the regulations which means that they will only apply to new housing . Part 4 describes some unusual building methods aimed at cutting domestic energy costs .
