New draft PPG on planning and pollution control published

The DoE has published a draft planning policy guidance note, `Planning and Pollution Control` aimed at advising local planning authorities and developers on the respective roles of the planning and pollution control systems when considering proposals for developments which could cause pollution. The DoE has published another report produced by ERL and Oxford Polytechnic on behalf of the Department "Planning pollution and waste management controls" (HMSO £12.50) as part of the preparations for the draft PPG.
