The latest RICS housing market survey claims that the Government`s attempted revival of a cautious housing market has boosted enquiries, but effected few sales other than at the first-time buyer level with the exception of East Anglia. Other measures for boosting the housing market include revision or abolition of Stamp Duty and special tax incentives for first time buyers.
