At the recent Euro-Construct conference held in London, it was predicted that West Germany would be the highest growth area for construction in Europe with demand for housing due to the influx from East Germany. France and Italy are also expecting high output . Predictions for Great Britain, Scandinavia and the Netherlands expect little growth. Changes in Eastern Europe are expected to open up new opportunities for the European construction industry.
