"Mortgage Funding Corporation plc v Conway" QBD 10 March 1995. M asked C for a valuation on a residential flat which was accepted. The mortgagor defaulted on the loan and M resold at a loss after refurbishment. A retrospective valuation was made for M to establish the true value of the property at the time of purchase, which was placed lower than the original valuation. M sought damages. Judgment for C.
