In Huzminor Investments Developments Ltd v City of Wakefield MDC , QBD 8 May 1989, the appeal was allowed on the grounds that the corporate veil could not be lifted; the identity of shareholders and the absence of any hardship to them was irrelevant and for the purposes of General Rate Act 1967 Sched 1 there is a definition of `hardship` in Re Windsor Securities Ltd (1978) .
