In "Banque Bruxelles Lambert and Eagle Star v John D Wood Commercial" the High Court has ordered John D Wood to pay £16m in damages for professional negligence in valuations on three properties. BBL had shown contributory negligence and damages were reduced by 30 per cent. Notes that valuers could not be liable for the fall in property values resulting from a collapse in the property market.
