Reports on a HC ruling outlawing the practice of individuals or pressure groups from buying strategically important land and selling it in hundreds of tiny plots to disrupt the compulsory acquisition of land needed for road construction. In this instance, the Norfolk Friends of the Earth had acquired a section of disused railway line and had sold it in square metres to supporters to frustrate the building of a by-pass over the M11.
