Flat tenancy ruling upheld - 1987 - Guardian 6/11/87 p4 .

In R v London Rent Assessment Panel Ex parte Mota QBD 3 November 1987 it was held that where a landlord has an obligation to provide furniture if asked by the tenant to do so, the tenancy may be a furnished tenancy for the purposes of rent assessment even if, atthe tenants request, none of the furniture is physically on the premises, and all the furniture which is on the premises was provided by the tenant.
